xil and xol

xil and xol, the martian twins, came to visit us today.

their martian squeaks and squeals were like windchimes to the ears, and ninjagirl was almost hypnotised by their voices. i brought some corn crisps of much-cheesy-goodness and some bean dip into the television room and we sat down to watch macgyver. xil thought the show was ridiculous, but xol clapped her tiny hands and screamed in childish delight whenever macgyver did something wickedly surreal with duct tape.

“he’s crazy!” she cried.

xil shook her head at her sister. “you’re the crazy, lady.”

ninjagirl tried to say something, but she wasn’t terribly used to seeing aliens watching macgyver while fighting over the largest corn chippies and pulling the hoods of each other’s jackets over their heads.

xil noticed the look on ninjagirl’s face. she pointed in my direction. “he’s not my type. but you, you’re pretty.”

ninjagirl blinked.

hatboy sat up.
